Videogames
iOS emulator for PC and Windows released.
Some awesome romhacks for N64 games.
Bleak Faith WIP climbing test. It looks like an Assassin's Creed style game. We would need to see a level set up first, but the combat and testing looks nice.
Duke Nukem vs Seagulls mod. It's set in a seaside shopping area and the seagulls are everywhere.
An FPS with a rearview mirror just released a demo.
A rails shooter for PSVR2, that would probably be better in an arcade and moving seat.
A better Final Fight is being released for the Amiga.
Redfall has a new trailer out. This one tells the story of vampires and mad scientists for the PvE style game.
Hyper light Breaker has a trailer. The open world version of Hyper Light is quite nice to look at and hopefully fun to play.
Does anyone know a good way to parse videogames? This section tends to be my largest, and I can't figure out a way to separate them correctly.
Videogames: Castlevania Wii
There were two Castlevania Wii exclusives. The first was a remake of the GameBoy game, with several add ons and branching paths. I haven't played this one.
The other was a fighting game that used motion controls and had designs from an up and coming manga artist for the characters. I own this one. I'm posting these because it came up in a previous conversation.
Film and TV
The live action test footage for how to film Toph in Avatar. Man I hope that's real. I seriously cried thinking about seeing something better than this.

A little cover, the actors and producers of power rangers will team up and make a movie or two together after their season is over. It's a weird niche film scene, but it has stuff. Jason David Frank's last movie was one of those, and it will be releasing in North American theatres soon. He plays a superhero returning to his home town to save it one more time.
Comics
There is a Comixology alternative, and it's starting to get indie comics. Sort of pissed, because I have a ton that I need to read from Comixology first.
Architecture
Architects and Engineers love the idea of a Metaverse for them to show off their designs. This is a field where the latest in tech is 20 years old, so having this work for them is pretty cool.
AI
MidJourney v5 has corrected the hands problem, and looks really good. Over in forums I've seen pictures that look so real it was hard to tell they were fake.
What AI has done this week.
OpenAI is not sharing their info on how gpt-4 was made, or how to copy it. This is in response to competition, and all the naysayers trying to find cracks for them to create big anti AI movements against.
AI images are not copyrightable so long as it's by prompt only.
Propaganda
It wasn't bts that caused the leak… it was dogs! Yeah dogs, and not us. Yep.
Donald Trump's YouTube channel has been restored.
We're like, 7 years away from immortality man. All the tech will converge and we will be one big Borg mind. Our Cybermen selves will be awesome. These Surrogates will have no problems at all.
Business
It looks like Meta hired tons of people to keep them away from others being able to hire them. The company wanted to control the market, and had to stop people with the needed skillset from going to other companies. The new hires sat at an office and did nothing.
Science
Scientists still analyzing photos and scans of Pluto from years ago.
I see it as an old game for an old gaming system versus a new game on a modern consoles. Then we have business stuff.
This actually helps. Thank you.
Yeah, I saw it as old console game and crossplatform game too. And the genres I mentioned. And indie and indie. I think the most suitable delineation would be console only and PC/crossplatform first.
