They realize it when they age out of being railed by Chad and Tyrone, let alone having any hope of getting them to commit. It only gets worse when not even the icky beta they spent 20 years treating like a subhuman wants anything to do with them. Of course they just blame it on the patriarchy and try to shame MGTOWs into paying for their bad choices instead of looking in the mirror.
