If you want to lessen his influence, you need to remove a lot of the restrictions YouTube has in place over creators which, ironically, requires YouTube to wave it's dick on the table to advertisers than constantly seeking old media's approval.

Doing anything else to lessen his reach breaches the line on free speech and fair use which is WAY too dangerous a path to cross.
