When I grew up, the TV man told me that the Oklahoma City Bomber was one of the first ever instances of home grown terrorism ever in American history. For some strange reason, nobody mentioned the University of Wisconsin, Bombing of Sterling Hall, which used the same resources and tactics. The Sterling Hall bombing wasn't covered up, it was just memory holed and the media pretended it never happened.
Same thing can be said for the Kent State "Massacre". Nobody mentions that the reason the National Guard was there in the first place is because Communist terrorist tried to assassinate hundreds of ROTC cadets by burning down the ROTC building with everyone inside, during a major Communist insurrectionist occupation of the University.
