Because megacorps colluded and got more powerful than governments at the same time, and are no longer content with riding the cyclical waves of the market. They are pulling the same scam everywhere.

Megacorps are more powerful than nations and are spread out across all countries. I would remind that the E in WEF stands for Economic and it's driven by corporations (and indeed many of the usual suspects from the corporate world are involved in efforts like the WEF and the woke and climate agendas etc.).
