anime manga seems to be one of the few places where stories are written for the story's sake. there is definitely a lot of cringe coming out of it, but that cringe usually amasses some kind of cult following so whatever.

Western entertainment just feel sanitized, the overly woke shit is just a symptom of that sanitization.
