Being friendly puts you at risk of a formal complaint, whether to HR in the workplace or to the police outside of it if it is deemed misogynistic unwanted communication and attention. And not being friendly and keeping yourself to yourself is now also risking the same thing by causing a threatening and hostile environment through misogyny.

They really are intent on just making life impossible, particularly for attractive men who refuse to date or are unattractive men who simply exist.
