Aren't those a bit controversial? Not because "IQ bad", but because of the mechanism by which those alleged numbers were acquired, or even calculated?
Absolutely, which is why it's so hard to pin any of this down. It might very well be completely useless.
I can think something else that they have in common: they are all of the Mongolian race.
Mongolia itself has average IQ somewhere in the 90s, apparently, though. 6+ points different from China.
And that is something I doubt, because Iraqis and Syrians are simply not that genetically different. Iraqis have more influences from Arabia than the Levantines, but that is not nearly enough to justify a 20 point IQ swing.
Sorry, worded that poorly. The map I saw claimed the second pair I mentioned (Laos and Cambodia) had that difference (I don't think so, though), Iraq/Syria was around ten I think. Still a big swing, but not twenty. But another source I just found (that generally seems more sensible) does put them even closer, like only four points.
Again, that's part of the issue; a bunch of different numbers floating around out there, for an already hard to measure concept that's also hard to standardize anyway.

Even if it's true that Jews, as a whole, tend to have an in-group bias, then it still does not follow that the Jews in question share that. That is the fallacy of division. What is true, on average, of the whole, is not necessarily true of the part.
Again, all true, but you can see that prominent Jews in these sorts of positions often do share stance. They'll say as much on social media, and the like. And, no, I'm certainly not saying all of them. But probably enough to swing the needle, and that's what we're talking about; averages. It doesn't have to be a conspiracy or anything, I just think Jewish dominance in some sectors is definitely more cultural/values based, versus raw IQ. Which, again, isn't even to downplay their IQ.
