So after moseying over the country for a week, broadcasting whatever they wanted back to the homeland, shedding whatever pollutants / biologicals they wanted, now they get around to shooting it down.

I guess they have to make a show of "we did something" when it's painfully obvious the administration is 100% in the pocket of China.
