I can't assume ignorance when the guy openly shills every single "women are our allies" narrative on this earth. He knows exactly what he's doing.

to the degree that it's part of the identity of some men.

It's an identity women allow them to have (for now) that allows them to connect to other men without Big Sister watching them. I fully understand why men get hugely invested in it.
