Amazon article about the difficulty in choosing a product from Amazon. About every paragraph starts with Amazon. Basically the majority of sellers are third party. They are trying to sell through an algorithm and consumer preferences to you. This has created several jobs, and brought in a lot of cheap knock off brands. Oh! They're not lazy, they're making an important statement! They're standing up for themselves, against their tyrannical bosses who...wanted them to work.
I got nothing. It reads like parody, but I don't think it is.
Fucking narcissists.
I've had a lot of jobs where they demanded work, but there really wasn't any. Imagine having a job that made sure specific paperwork was prepared properly. The only work is if that paperwork is done, otherwise you are sitting there. Since you never know when it will arrive, you have to be ready for it at all times. So, you are paid for sitting there, but need to prove you're working.
That's the A side.
The B side is the tech guy is so arrogant he games while doing work. I saw a lot of people play games during lectures, and then treat me badly because I took notes and pictures of slides. We would end up in a team together and any idea I had was a bad one, until I showed the assignment from the notes I took.
It's a combination of the two, and really annoying.
I would never treat you badly for paying attention, but I totally did that. The online recorded classes were obviously my favorites, since if I got too focused on a particular part of the game I could rewind the lecture to hear what I missed again.
It was a bad class, and I'll leave it at that.
