As Obamacare would not have passed without their 60 votes. Although it's very suspicious that right at the moment that it could be repealed, several people had a miraculous conversion to opposing repeal. I think it was stupid to not offer a replacement. Taking people's health care away, even if you believe the law in question was bad, is never going to be a good look.
