Fair enough. If it's not for you, it's not for you.
I didn't get far enough into ONIMAI it to find out how bad it is, dropped it the first 30 seconds lol. The artwork (cover? title card? idk) from the website I watch anime on, has a very suspicious color scheme.
Oh yeah, just checked. Very pink and blue. To be fair, the trannies appropriated that, and pink and blue have for ages represented female and male, so it's a natural choice for genderbender stuff but...yeah, still pretty sus now that you point it out.
Not as sus as that dog anime you were discussing in another comment. I noped out of that as soon as I saw the freaking title...didn't need to go any further.
God, Japan is fucking weird. There's plenty of great anime, and then there's that weird vein that runs throw it with genderbending, emasculation, loli stuff, pet stuff, incest stuff...it's just amazing how many sick fetishes they can stick into their content.
Very occasionally they'll include some of that stuff in a show without ruining it; I really like Chivalry of a Failed Knight, and that has light elements of a bunch of that stuff; a brocon loli and a crossdressing/"trans" friend, but still manages to be a great show. It's handled well though, and the tropes are played around with in funny ways.
Japan, thank you very much for anime...but get your shit together, for real!
