But why would I, when Club Penguin already did it in 2005? There's nothing stopping a company from scaling this simplistic program up to the level of an ISP. If they wanted to, they could do it tomorrow.
What makes lobotomized AI a threat is that it's going to be just one more facet of life that absolutely everyone uses, and thus it's another way to reprogram people instantly and globally. We've all seen what Twitter did to the mentally handicapped. It turned them into screaming psychopaths. Now imagine every search engine, every AI assistant, every "digital friend" in the world constantly outputting Twitter opinions.
