It wouldn't surprise me but it wouldn't also surprise me if she's being used as a scapegoat for the real traffickers.
Not because I believe 'she's too moral to do this' , more because after so many times some celebrity accusations turned out to be bullshit, I've got a high scepticism barrier nowadays..
While I do believe there exists some separation of agency such that the celebrities don't truly know all the details of what's going on. I do believe the celebrities know at some level that what they are doing is wrong but they are sell-outs, so they don't care. Like those people dealing with dark shady men in back alleys that go "I don't care what you need this weapons grade enriched uranium for and I don't care to know, just give me the money". As far as I am concerned, this makes them just as bad and their ignorance doesn't excuse them of being responsible for the wrongdoings.
Don't get me wrong, celebrities that just go along with stuff for the money are on the same moral level for me as the soldiers that said 'I was only following orders, that's why I shoved them onto the trains'
I just don't use any of them as a moral compass, leftist or non leftist. I leave any of that to my grandfather than these overpaid puppets.
Yeah, I can absolutely believe that. Because she is such a high profile name, she will dominate the entire story across any channel talking about it until it blows over and anyone else involved will be able to slip through the cracks.
