Apparently you don't even have to go that far back to see this. In 1999 a vaccine against the Rotavirus was pulled after it was found that it caused 1-2/10000 adverse reactions. The latest study from Taiwan puts the number of adverse reactions, at least to the Pfizer one, to 1/1000.
