The deeper I get into the inner workings of Twitter, the more convinced I become that every single person who worked for Twitter in any capacity was wholly irredeemable.
The interviewee here is convinced he has the moral authority to engage in frequent and flagrant censorship of anything he deems necessary with no justification. He is the fourth generation warfare equivalent of a cluster-munitions-disguised-as-teddy-bears manufacturer, and is either incapable of or indifferent to the ethical and practical implications of his work.
Not to sound like a grade school teacher, but this is some mighty fine prose right here. If I just updoot without saying so, it would inflate the value of updoots I have given to other comments.
A fascinating read which shows in great detail how Twitter censorship processes are established from interviewing former employees . Very lengthy though.
For the journalist's round up and current summary find "RUBY FILES: MY TAKE, COMMENTARY & ANALYSIS:" on the page and read down from there.
