If (racism/sexism/hate/whatever) is up, that proves that we're right.

If (racism/sexism/hate/whatever) is down, that just means that it's not being counted correctly, due to the (racism/sexism/hate/whatever) system, which further proves how (racist/sexist/hateful/whatever) our society is.
