If we behaved the way the do we would be hypocrites enforcing a double standard.

But in their mind there is only one standard "does this forward the gay commie agenda?" If it does then the action is good and true, if it doesn't then the action is evil and false.

They are almost perfectly consistent.

Same reason they use the bill of rights to argue for Abortion but then disregard the Bill of Rights when it comes to guns and hate speech.
