This reads to me like he cared about the art, the story, the logic, and his trade, and tried to do something to save it.

No one who genuinely cares can stand to watch as corruption and sewage runs in, and not feel disgust.

And that he correctly identified where the rot was coming from; the rats there for anything but merit.

That he tried to stand against the wretched vermin; the slimy, sucking, soulless wenches. The one's there for the good of themselves and their careers, who work only to add to the influence of their cackling click of the screeching, the vile, and the cowards.

That he saw their black hole of narcissism and had the spine to hate it, and the courage to make them know he hates it.

If this is true, and it's certainly not, but it were then there is maybe hope yet for this one.
