What possible rationale is there for this?

Something like the ACLU I'd understand, at least in theory. Also a shitty organization (for the most part), but at least with their mission statement on paper, it would make sense to train federal agents that have a huge amount of power when it comes to potentially abusing our civil liberties.

But the ADL?
