From most of the interviews I've read Sapkowski seems to be in "burn it all down" mode as far as his Witcher novel legacy.
Sapkowski only cares about money.
He's been like that since he wrote "Lady of the Lake." The ending where he killed Geralt and Yennefer, foreshadowed that a plague was going to devastate the continent, and the White Frost was destined to destroy the world anyway made it clear he was trying to kill the series dead in its tracks.
He doesn't even like them anymore, and always openly hated the fandom, just no one cares about his Hussite Trilogy.
