This wasn't in a city. It was technically a suburb. The only family members I have that vote Dem live way off in different state, in a White area where they don't have face the consequences of diversity. I think even they were Republicans way back during this anyway and only went Dem later on. My state had a Dem governor, but I don't know if there were Dems at lower levels of government or not. This was before Red/Blue state was a thing. States would swing between parties a lot back then. You're not getting anywhere with this feeble reasoning.
