We didnt sell guns to cartels
We dont drone strike civilians

Why the fuck does anyone still listen to the news? Oh, right, it tells them what they already want to believe; that they are good people, waging a holy secular crusade against evil.
Oh, right, it tells them what they already want to believe
No. We are trained to believe that journalism is this ethical job and even a 4th power in a democratic state. They are fighters for truth.
Then we read a news article about a topic that we know about and we realize how utterly shit their position & argument is. "What a bunch of retards!". But then we forget this same logic when reading about a topic we know nothing about. "Well, those are good ethical journalists".
And it's really hard to break this thought pattern. Because sometimes (like in scientific fields) they do report correctly about an article. Which reinforces the bias we have.
Iran will execute 15,000 prisoners
WMDs in Iraq (old but good)
The PKK are the good guys
Afghanistan will push back the Taliban
Mission Accomplished
Moderate Syrian rebels arent Isis
Assad is one week from defeat
Hospitals are overloaded with Covid dead
