Realistic answer?

Brutally and publicly assassinate any and every politician who sees this stuff and has any reaction other than immediate condemnation.

I'd welcome more peaceful suggestions, but I don't think anything other than the exercise of raw power is going to keep this at bay once it gets started.

China is the trial balloon. It will arrive in our country with some “emergency” - the same way we will always have the TSA.

Or the same way we have daylight savings time - due to a panic over gas costs in the 1960s.

We are easily sheepled into compliance like China.
