i cannot argue with you if the very premises you talk about as if they were reality are false and thoroughly poisoned in terminology. it would be as if we spoke to each other in different languages - i say "if a state must exist, it should act in favor of the people", you say "left-wing communist authoritarianism".

there are also talks that hitler didn't even want to declare on poland despite the looming soviet threat, especially considering that its previous leader had been such a dear respected friend to him that during the war he kept permanent honor guard at his grave in the occupied territory. instead things like the danzig massacre and the general tensions among the people following the unfavorable versailles treaty are said to have pushed him into war against poland, which would directly disprove your point that he acted against the people when it is possibly the people that made him act against his less warmongering will.
as for more domestic matters, if you subscribe to any hollywood views that gestapo visits and banned music genres were a regular occurrence and that if you wore blue on the purple shirt day they'd gas you, i shouldn't have to tell you that you shouldn't listen to hollywood.
furthermore if you take the very real restrictions on jews in germany as examples of authoritarianism, yet refuse to separate them from the germans in any way, well, you're just closing your eyes at that point...
