Hahah, quite apt. I had friends tell me "no, it's making nerds more socially accepted!" but that point of view is farcical.
An every-girl, sort-of-pretty, failed-actress-turned-waitress always seems to know better than a squad of PhDs and an astronaut, and the whole purpose of the show is to establish how superior she is to the nerds despite her lack of status and objective intelligence. And this is supposed to represent acceptance of nerd culture? Right...
Well it is Screen Rant. I watch Young Sheldon and I’ve seen that. It’s odd because in Big Bang Theory his mom is still a believer. The reverend does apologize to her but I’m some episodes behind.
But your overall point is correct. At this point I just roll my eyes at the articles attacking Christianity. They think they are so edgy. Similar to those who attack white ppl as if they are doing something out of the box
Is Young Sheldon any less insufferable than Old Sheldon? Because the fact that Sheldon on BBT doesn't get repeatedly punched in the face in every episode shows that the characters have supernatural patience. Making him a younger character just seems like it would be creating an even more annoying live-action Lisa Simpson type.
Yea there are Lisa Simpson vibes. There are some funny jokes because him in a traditional family in a small Texas town actually makes it better than them being in California. I used to love TBBT but the more I think about it, the more I see it as a doorway for normies to invade. Nothing wrong with normies but nerd stuff being mainstream was not a net positive
Wonder Years was a show I loved as a kid and Young Sheldon uses that model.

Why would people like Timothy (((Marx))) and Chuck (((Lorre))) make anti-christian propaganda? hmm...
