which is funny because all companies who made diesel cars were found out for similar cheating emissions but VW and the "Diesel Gate" name tightly bound to VW are all anyone remembers.. It tells me the revised diesel emissions regulations were too strict if no [maybe one or two] manufacturers could meet them.
I thought all the other diesel manufacturers made people put in "blue junk" along with their fuel in order to cut emissions, but VW was claiming they had a way around needing that?

I dont know the history, but DEF is the "blue junk" i think you are talking about.
Chrysler/Dodge, MB, BMW, Toyota, GM were all found to be cheating Diesel emissions.
