Here’s the problem with this solution, and it’s the same problem with the second amendment: these solutions only work in ethnically and culturally homogeneous nations with high social cohesion and trust aka white nations circa 1950. In the multicultural ghettos of today, you’d have blacks caning white people for fun.
It's not like attacks aren't happening anyways. At least you'd have a nice stout cane to defend yourself.
