A big percentage of women on those shitty online dating sites are only on there to farm followers for their social media pages, they aren't really single, but they will still reply to Chads and might fuck them.
But online dating is really not representative of the real world. It's a sausagefest and since the male to female ratio skews so heavily male, women react by becoming intensely superficial.
MEN DO THE SAME THING. This is how blondes became a thing. Blonde hair and blue eyes are rare genetic mutations. But a long time ago, some disaster bottlenecked men (most men died) so the ratio skewed strongly in men's favor, with a few men and a lot of women. So what did the men do? They massively preferred blonde hair and light eyes, and so the population shifted strongly in favor of both those things. Without the bottleneck, blondes and light eyes would have remained at relatively low percentages of the population.
So your view of online dating comes entirely from the skewed ratio.
Your link is primarily an advertisement site which has an incentive to lie and exaggerate the number of women in order to promote the sites. As someone who actually did online dating, this chick claiming - without sources - that these apps have over 50% women is just blatantly lying and ass pulling.

85% of the UK’s dating app user base is male. On Tinder this figure is even higher, with roughly one female user for every nine male users.
Also a LOT of "female" accounts are actually just bots, scammers, and advertisement profiles, not genuine people looking to date. So once you eliminated those, the skew would be considerably worse.
