I used to get my GF an annual pass and took her to disneyland a bunch in 2019 and early 2020 since we live somewhat close to it. Ended up being cheap since when COVID hit we got our passes refunded.
Then after Gina Carano got struggle sessioned and fired, I've been boycotting. Practically speaking though I haven't given Disney a dime since COVID hit. Disney has only been worse since then, so my resolve to boycott has only gotten deeper.
Kathleen Kennedy is a menace. The while Star Wars section of disneyland is shit. It isn't even based on anything from the original series, only the new shitty disney movies. She ruined Star Wars.
So when they made their new little star wars themed hotel, I figured it would be bad.
After it came out, I pulled up a youtube video from a woman who was one of the people who did the whole "experience" and it was laughably bad. It's basically just a hotel with a star wars skin, which pretends to be a cruise ship when it's not, and has lots of paid actors - mostly fat women in blue makeup - acting like idiots during meals. If anyone is curious about it, I highly recommend just watching a youtube video review of the "experience" to see how cringe it is.
I was cringing the whole time. My gf was like "it doesn't look so bad".
And then she saw the price: $5k for 2 people, and I started laughing. We went on a nice 7 day cruise from Florida and that was only $1,700 for both of us. This Disney shit is only 2 nights. It's basically a hotel that costs $2.5k a night to watch some cringe cosplayers. LOL no wonder it isn't popular.
