OP: https://kotakuinaction2.win/p/15JndWwmIC/

tl;dr Sydney was literally being squished between 2 superfats on a full plane, despite American Airlines own policy saying they needed to buy 2 seats, and AA tells her to shut up, bigot.

It ended up becoming something of a news story with a couple dozen Google news results. It was the front page story on the Daily Mail: https://archive.ph/AzrgM

.@PlanetTyrus, thank you for echoing my sentiments about obese passengers on planes. And thank you for going to extra step to call out airlines who pick and choose which rules they enforce. Loved this. 👏

Most haven't bothered reaching out to Sydney for comment: https://twitter.com/SydneyLWatson/status/1582366253473181697

Dude. @BrookeELRolfe rightly calls me "doctor" in her first article about me, but says I "claim" to be Aussie-American. Now she's saying I'm not a "doctor" but I AM Aussie-American. To confirm: I have an honorary doctorate and I am also Aussie-American. This isn't hard.

These dumbasses also retroactively edited their first article to fix all their wrong language. Journalists - you can reach out to me. I will answer you and save you from looking like the morons you normally are.

Here is a sample of the nice emails journalists can expect when they contact me for comment (which I'd prefer they do, rather than making shit up)

Brooke Rolfe wrote about it for News.com.au - "Airline responds after woman shames overweight passengers" : https://archive.ph/v0812

Sydney had put her display name on Twitter as "Dr Sydney Watson". Rolfe took her doctorate at face value but wrote that she "claims to be an American-Australian political commentator". The woman who claims to be a reporter failed to reach out to Sydney for comment.

Then she stealth edited her article to remove references to her being a doctor and apparently confirmed she is a conservative, right-wing American-Australian political commentator. Then they added the CONTROVERSIAL slur: https://archive.ph/6qclS

Sydney Watson, a conservative, right-wing American-Australian political commentator who is no stranger to controversial subjects

Sydney has since gotten a response from the airline, including a gif cert for a whole $150 dollars! https://twitter.com/SydneyLWatson/status/1582130147565584384

Well, here's the email I got from American Airlines.

Sydney made a video about the incident too: https://youtu.be/Lj7CfsL_118
