sure it's a body type. but the imagery is still powerful. a lot of people who are totally into it may eventually see them as no different to children
it's so widespread that the loli is normalised
its been around for decades. Since anime has been around in fact. And Japan has a lower child sexual abuse rate than the west https://postimg.cc/ykCT3bFd . Parents even allow 1st grade kids to walk to school on their own.
What about the impact on westerners? That appears to be what this topic is hinting towards
What impact on westerners? If it hasn't impacted Japanese I don't see why it would be different for westerners.
Just look at the fandoms for anything. Anime fans, comic book fans, movie fans, literature fans.
The furry example is a good bridge to the Loli.
They may not wanna fuck them but they wanna become them. Then groups of them become them and wanna fuck each other within the group.
It seems harmless at the moment but it could start a slippery slope like gay to LGBT to drag bordering on grooming kids if these groups get a little bigger and more vocal.
To the first point because the represent Loli like real life people, it again makes it appear harmless and related to fiction. But over time the appeal gains traction as it becomes more mainstream, normalised, and as more fans cross boundaries with their fandom. I see it happening more in the West first
