Imagine camping in the middle of a city and having expectations of privacy?

People talk about the explosion of homelessness in US cities as if the homeless people are the victims. In reality, their mental illness and substance abuse, and subsequent belligerent behavior, are victimizing everyone else. No one wants to patronize downtown businesses or attend downtown events anymore because no one wants to run the gauntlet of unstable homeless weirdos who will harass and attack you on a whim.
