Its always amusing how privileged and spoiled some areas of the world are.
Back home its expected during hurricane season that you'll have a few days per year of no power, no leaving the house. Just you and the fam in the candlelight with whatever you stocked up on. Richer families might have a generator but not often. On bad years (like Katrina) you could be weeks without it. Its just a normal facet of life.
Now they are begging for a tiny fraction of that in a controlled environment (so no horrific weather happening during, no terror of it getting worse, etc.) to shatter their world.
