Well of course, because most middle and upper managers are retarded, at least when it comes to managing people. If I were in charge and had to get rid of people, I’d cut the least productive people first as opposed to who’s working remotely.
I think that a big part of the problem is that many of these large companies (cough big tech cough) have vastly bloated workforces and could actually do the work with a fraction of the employees that they’ve got.
Imagine purging the people that le you save thousands on cutting down rent expense... I believe it, it's stupid enough.
