Just ignoring for a minute the many reasons this scene is ridiculous the reason that it is truly shitty is she's never concerned. I don't care if someone has been fencing for a thousand years and the other guys have never picked up a sword you should be taking it seriously because a wild swing can still send you to the Halls of Waiting. This isn't a kung-fu movie; it's supposed to be serious, but she's not taking it seriously so why should the viewer.
LotR had grim fighters giving it their all because they've already accepted their deaths. Rangz has a smug fighter who knows she has plot armor.
e: Okay, just noticed the clapping at the end. What's the context? Was this supposed to be some sort of exhibition? He went straight for her neck on the first swing. e: Okay, it was training so the swords are presumably blunted, so that explains why she isn't taking it particularly seriously.
