This would not be something to be afraid of if it weren't the fucking EU. In a smaller dose with more defined powers and defined conditions this is not in and of itself necessarily a bad thing. However we've seen them abuse their powers left and right without care. I'm surprised they even put this in instead of just enacting whatever the hell they wanted. They don't give a shit about laws or any regulations or something like that. The European commission as if they are in existence due to Divine Right like they are a king.
