I'll agree, that's probably one drawback that can be a little bit of a downer. Though in some respects it is somewhat fitting to the setting. I find large building projects can make a place feel a lot more lively though. And unlike Valheim, I feel like there's usually something fun to keep me occupied. Even if the long-term goals don't exactly pay off all that well.
Didn't that come out in 2016? I think it was right around the clown world cutoff point.
Early access around 2017 maybe, and release a year later. It's still been getting some solid updates and plenty of modding support to boot.
The world manages to feel a little empty even on larger servers. I haven't checked out the new map yet.
