It would be the equivalent of a government burning someone's house down at the behest of a group of activists. Once that happens, property becomes worthless because it can be destroyed, legally, with no recourse whatsoever.
On the plus side, that would be the perfect opportunity for a decentralized system to replace what we have right now, which is a controlled almost entirely by an NGO called ICANN, with the rest of the power in the hands of ISPs.

The same troons are lobbying whatever regional registry KF is in to delist the site's actual IP addresses.
Which still wouldn't be the death knell according to Moon, but would still he unprecedented and create new unimaginable problems.
