I assume they're also lying, because anti-depressants don't make you happy. They make you just motivated enough to get out of bed, and occasionally twitch and tic, or so the adverts would have me believe.
Some people equate absence of all affect as "happiness" instead of a dull gray neutrality where nothing registers emotionally.
