In OpinionRon DeSantis “may be a more competent Trump in terms of his ability to use the levers of state to amass power, but he’s also meaner and more rigid, without the soft edges and eccentricity of the actual Donald Trump,” writes @jbouie. https://nyti....
What they really fear is Trump + DeSantis ticket.
DeSantis is seen as a more reasonable, competent, effective Trump, but less electable; he's 44 which is very young for a President, 5'9" shorter than Little Macro, and he doesn't have that stage charisma. They're not worried about him at the top of the ticket.
DeSantis VP would be a huge boost to Trump because he's a guy people wouldn't pick as their first choice, but most from either side would be fine with taking over in case Trump goes nuts or dies as opposed to Pence and Kamala which were VPs of mutually assured destruction (if you 'first strike' our Pres you'll regret it). He's the control rod not the second strike.
Trump/DeSantis is probably an unbeatable ticket even with cheating.
