Fun fact: Hardees and Carl's Jr. are owned by the same company and almost the same restaurant but with different branding. Carl's expanded from the west while Hardees expanded from the east, then they merged in the late 90's. You'll still see way more Hardees in the east and Carl's in the west. The midwest has a good amount of both, despite many Hardee's changing to Carl's Jr.
I don't know this from that--there aren't any Hardees or Carl's Jr. in the Northeast, which I spent my entire life in until the last couple years.
But I moved to a small city in North Florida, and they're literally the only chain here who still has no lobby dining supposedly due to covid. Everything is so normal here and has been at least since January 2021, that you notice these things. McDonalds, normal, Burger King normal, they just opened a KFC and a Popeyes, normal, grocery stores all normal. Wal-Mart, normal. Even the CVS here (some places, notoriously bugfuck) is normal.
Hardees, and only Hardees, has a shuttered dining area and window people in masks, in the year of our Lord 2022, in North Florida. What the living Fuck is this company's problem?
