110% agreed.
I'm so tired of these lunatics being allowed free reign to destroy great things other people built.
I more meant the internet at large, lol. Or even society. Or whatever.
But, sure, focus on the "storm fags," why not.
Also, although I wouldn't call the Stormer a 'great thing,' it still shouldn't have been censored. Do you think it should?
Seriously, though, way to completely fucking miss the point, just because someone brought up a site you don't like.
These fucking bullies will destroy anyone and everyone who questions them, whether that be actual neo-Nazis, anti-feminists, whatever. The culture that has let them have this level of power is the issue.
It's sad to see this bullshit happen over, and over, and over. I don't care if you like the Daily Stormer. I don't care if you like Alex Jones. I don't care if you like Milo. Heck, I don't care if you like Louis Farrakhan. The issue is letting censorious crybullies run wild, and having megacorps use them as useful idiots while they fucking strangle all of us, our freedom, information, and, you know, freaking humanity as a whole.
But, sure, Daily Stormer bad...
You're seriously missing the forest for the trees here.
Stormer, ConPro, TwoX, Megalia, Ovarit...they're all the same fucking shit and I wouldn't lose sleep over any of them being shut down. I mean, I cheered when the TERFs got their marching orders from Reddit.
I think it would be better to gain control and use it to shut down our enemies than have some sort of non-aggression pact. Ultimate free speech works in a world where everyone is committed to that principle, but there are plenty of groups who want to use that free speech to gain power to do their own censoring.
"When I have no power, I support free speech according to your principles. When I have power, I take your speech, because that's according to mine."
Not sure where I heard that, but it's very apt.
