If only The Science:tm: could invent some sort of self-replicating technology that used renewable solar energy to absorb CO2 and process it into something usable :(

It's hard to build such a device. The plant would be huge. Where the heck would they put it? The rainforest!? Rocky mountains!? The Wet Side of the Pacific Northwest!?
