So things we need to hammer down. I believe we should do a movie every Saturday night for the live chat group and I will post a general discussion chat every Saturday night after the film(US -5). What we need to do is get a general idea of what time would be most convenient for anyone wanting to do live chat with the movie. Also, I believe we should do a theme every month. October is clearly going to be horror, but we can poll for themes each month and create a general yearly lineup based on those themes. Might as well do weekly showings because the time commitment is less and the ability to fit 4-5 movies in a genre gives more variety and appeal. So what we need to hammer down in this thread is time zones we will be basing the live view off and the September theme for movies+ recommendations!

Good idea, I read the books but I'm like half a book behind at this point....so it becomes more of a want to read list. Been good for book suggestions though.
No idea on genre that would be related to September. Most of what I watch in general falls into mindless thriller, sci-fi, war, or westerns but I'm far, far from a movie buff. On the plus side someone in my family wants to do a horror movie night when we hang out in person later this month, so maybe before October I'll actually have an idea about that genre. I've generally never liked horror movies, but knowing this person it will really be the most bloody and gorey movie marathon.
My plan for the movie club is to get known gems for discussion and sharing while finding hidden gems that have been overlooked. I wouldn’t call myself a “movie” buff either, unless it comes to horror/ Asian cinema/ anime. However there is a broad depth of cinematic knowledge in this forum and I believe it would be better for this community to find solid entertainment and create watchlists continuously.
