HR is allegedly supposed to deal with employees. They laid off PR, thus less employees. Less employees mean less HR needed. HR gets laid off, means less employees.
HR and PR are worthless and are not needed to keep a company going. They can be fired and replaced, nothing technical or core is lost.
If HR and PR is absolutely necessary for a company, they honestly should consist of people who are ideologically loyal and nothing else.
HR is supposedly for micromanagement of employees, while competent company leadership theoretically do not need PR as they are paying attention to everything.
