I hope you’re never anywhere near the levers of power. I sympathize with your desire of justice, but punishing innocent people to send a message isn’t justice… it’s the same thing we’re trying to fight against.

Living fat on the blood of the oppressed isn't innocence. Anyone who has reached adulthood who has not denounced their family's actions is complicit in them.

The children are blameless, and should be sheltered from the consequences of their ancestors' actions.
