Just saw some of an interview with the Legion of Skanks on the Adam Corolla Show and Corolla made the same point. There aren't many of them, but they're loud and, most important, they use public blackmail of various sorts to get normies (people with lives too busy to pay attention) to comply with them until their demands become evil and absurd as they eventually do and the normies (once known as he silent majority) finally get fed up and resist.
