It's a shame; I like Steam as a platform but, man, they've let their forums go to absolute shit. Steam moderators are the biggest trolls and bad faith actors on the platform. It would honestly be much better with no moderation at all, with how these fuckers continually behave, across all subforums.
Also, fuck 2K Games and Take-Two Interactive. Continually pushing anti-consumer bullshit, and now banning Russians and the like too.

It is difficult to have a forum that isn't a shitty experience for new users without some moderation. The regulars have a blocklist against disruption that a new account doesnt.
Maybe someday there will be some kind "web of trust" AI that everyone will run that will eliminate the need for human mods but that doesn't appear to exist yet.
